

John Norbert Maciejewski, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2012. He was born in Menasha on February 28, 1921, the son of the late Joe and Jenny (Britzke) Maciejewski. John was united in marriage to his late wife, Ruth, on February 20, 1943. They were married 65 years until her passing in 2008. John and Ruth lived in Kentucky for 10 years prior to John’s retirement. The couple then moved to Florida where they resided for 15 years before moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to family. John, along with Ruth, volunteered for churches, senior centers and many other things. John was also a member of the Knights of Columbus for numerous years.
John is lovingly survived by his daughter, Joy Pozolinski; son, John (Regina) Maciejewski Jr; grandchildren: Amy (Jeff) Scheffler, David Pozolinski, Renee Maciejewski, Joe (Jenn) Maciejewski, Raina (Stephen) Roden, and Ruth (Barry) James; great-grandchildren: Emily, Jace, Nora, Elizabeth, Katie, Tommy, King, and Jesse; sister, Mary Swiechowski and sisters-in-law: Dora Maciejewski and Mae Maciejewski.
John is preceded in death by his brothers: Walter Maciejewski and Richard Maciejewski; sisters: Stella (Lyle) VanderVelden, Regina (Lyle) Strader, Helen (Frank) Kreglestein, Dorothy (John) Sabrowski; brother-in-law, Raymond Swiechowski and son-in-law, David Pozolinski.
A Memorial Service for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 DePere Street, Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. Friends will be received at the church for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
