

Kathryn “Kay” C. (Laeyendecker) Ratchman, age 63 of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 27, 2013, at her residence. On April 30, 1950, Kay was born in Neenah to the late Jack C. and Beatrice (Schmalz) Laeyendecker. Kay had a fascination with Bees. She collected all sizes, shapes, and colors. She enjoyed shopping with her family, but most of all she loved to spend time with her daughters and their families.
Kay will be missed by her loving daughters: Tina (Nick) Mills and their children: Wyatt and Braylon; and Heidi (Ryan) Wienandt and their son, Parker; her brothers: Gary (Kay) Laeyendecker, Donald (Chris) Laeyendecker, Daniel (Paula) Laeyendecker, Kenneth (Julie) Laeyendecker; a sister-in-law, Cathy Laeyendecker; many nieces and nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Terry Laeyendecker and a brother, Jack Laeyendecker.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, October 4, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street in Menasha with Fr. Paul Paider officiating. The Memorial Gathering will be held from 10:00 am until the hour of the Mass at the church. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in the Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of “the girls” at Island Shores and to Nichol Frank-PA at Primary Care Associates of Appleton for their wonderful care and comfort given to Kay.
