

Mildred “Millie” H. Clark, age 88, of Menasha, passed away on Monday morning, July 29, 2013 at Bridgewood Nursing Home in Neenah. Mildred was born on October 21, 1924 in Menasha, the daughter of the late Lyle “Chick” and Erma (Julius) Remick. Millie was 1942 Menasha High School graduate and was a member the Honor Society. Upon graduation, she went to work at the former Marathon Company in the office. She was united in marriage to Peter A. Clark Jr. on April 21, 1947 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. When she was younger, she took on the task of Den Mother for her son’s Boy Scout troop. Peter and Millie enjoyed going to their boys’ football and basketball games at St. Patrick Grade School. After Millie and Peter raised their children, they operated Island Cleaners, Inc. where she was the Secretary/Treasurer and they retired 27 years ago. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, playing cards, and going to the casino with her sister Joyce.
Millie will be missed by her loving husband of 66 years, Peter; their children: Peter L. Clark, Christine (Jim) Lewandowski, Fred Clark, Mark (Becky) Clark; grandchildren: Jenny, Brad, Claudine, Jason, and Steven; great-grandchildren: Prior, Alex, Elizabeth, and Frank; a brother, John Remick, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jeff; and two sisters: Joyce (Jack) Grode and Barbara (Jack) Engfer; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn (Bob) Porath.
Private family services were held to celebrate Millie’s life.
