

Robert “Bunny” J. Zolkowski, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. On July 22, 1929, Robert John was born in Menasha to the late John and Martha (Wroblewski) Zolkowski. He was united in marriage to Joan Voss on May 4, 1957 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha.
Golfing was Bunny’s favorite hobby, he spent many hours on the course improving his swing and spending time with friends. By profession he was a decorator who loved the art of painting and wood finishing. Bunny kept the homes of friends and family in mint condition never “officially” retiring from the trade. Bunny took pride in his yard and together with Joan had beautiful plants and flowers in bloom for every season.
Bunny’s faith in God was strong; he began most of his mornings with mass at St. Mary or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where he was a member for his entire life.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Joan; his brothers: Donald (fiancée, Nancy Dachelet) Zolkowski, Gerald (Diana) Zolkowski, Jack (Nancy) Zolkowski; several nieces and nephews and their families; a sister-in-law, Joyce (Jim) Reiland and their children and families; his very caring extended family: Dick and Char Reimer, their children: Jan (Gale) Davey and children: Cory (Molli) and Samantha and her son; Kathy (Jim) Mueller, and Lori (Todd) Zeier, and their daughter Kayla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard (Lois) Zolkowski; a sister-in-law, Kay Zolkowski, a nephew, Paul Zolkowski and a niece, Kari Zolkowski Rigas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, October 21, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere Street in Menasha, with Fr. Joe Mattern officiating. The Memorial Gathering will be held from 9:30 am until the hour of the Mass at the church.
