Albert Edward Craychee

Services will be held at Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Menifee at 11:30 am on April 11, 2023. Visitation will be preceding at 11:00 am also at Saint Vincent Ferrer located at 27931 Murrieta Rd, Sun City, CA 92586. Burial will be at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.

Albert was born September 6, 1926 in Mandan, North Dakota the son of Albert and Selma (Apitz) Craychee. He graduated from Mandan High School in 1944. He served in the United States Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet until November, 1945. He married Florence Adelle Broderick on December 29, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan N.D. He graduated from the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy in 1953.

Albert and Florence moved to California in 1952 where Albert went into the retail Pharmacy business in Lakewood, California and in Costa Mesa, California. Together they raised ten children. They raised their family while living in Newport Beach, California. After retirement in 1989, Albert and his wife moved to Menifee Lakes, CA. and lived there until 2001, when Florence passed away.

Albert married Nonnie (Yvonne) Dahl on October 12, 2002 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Bismarck, ND. They lived in Bismarck, ND and Valley Center, CA until Nonnie’s passed away in August 2021 when Albert moved permanently to Valley Center.

Albert spent over forty years as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, an international Catholic charity organization, working in various parish conferences of that Society, and was involved in starting new conferences in several Catholic parishes in Orange and Riverside Counties in Southern California.

His main interests were his family, managing his pharmacy businesses, and his work with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. In his life he played a lot of golf, he did a lot of ocean sailing, he enjoyed mountain skiing, woodworking and fresh and saltwater fishing.

Albert is survived by his ten children, his sister Jacqueline, 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his first and second wives, his parents one sister, and three brothers.
