A child of the depression years, “Angie” entered Herkimer High School at the beginning of World War II, where she was active in clubs and a sorority until graduating in 1946.
Two years later, on August 7, 1948, she married Peter Dominick Gallo (1928-2004) They resided in Herkimer and had their first child, Cheryl Anne, on December 23, 1949.
In 1956, the young family seeking a new lifestyle and prosperity, moved to Bellflower, California. During that time, Angie worked part time in a local retail store while raising their daughter. In October of 1959, she gave birth to a son, Thomas Peter Gallo. (Only to be devastated by his sudden passing at age 39 in 1998.)
As a resident of Lakewood, California in the 1960’s through the 1980’s, she belonged to St. Maria Goretti Parish. In 1989, Angie and Peter moved to a lovely new retirement community in Riverside County and were very active in clubhouse activities. In addition, during her years as a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Church in Sun City, California, Angie served as a eucharistic minister, taught children’s religious education classes, and assisted in the church office.
