

Dennis was born February 10, 1932, in Mallard, Iowa, the only child to Harold and Icyle Franks. When Dennis was 10, his family moved to California.
Dennis served in the United States Air Force from 1949-1952, and fought in the Korean War.
Dennis met Elizabeth "ANN" Neher at Church in Lynwood, California in 1952. They were married on July 3rd, 1953. They bought their first home in Torrance, California and had three children, Diane, Susan and Michael.
Dennis worked in the pultrusion fiberglass industry for more than 50 years.
Dennis enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball as well as coaching Pop Warner Football. He looked forward to baseball season and enjoyed watching his favorite team, The Angeles. After his children grew up, his new passion was golfing. After retirement, Dennis and Ann built their dream home in Canyon Lake, California, a golf community.
Dennis and Ann enjoyed many golf vacations and golf tournaments. Dennis also enjoyed going on family cruises, and their family trip to Japan for his son's wedding.
Dennis golfed up to the age of 92.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 72 years, Elizabeth "ANN" Franks; daughters Diane Porter (Ed), Susan Sloan (Joe), and son Michael Franks (Miwa); 3 granddaughters, Michelle Sena, Melissa Sena and Courtney Plash (Travis); and 8 great-grandchildren: Kai, Jameson, Cutter-Joe, Jodie, Johnnie, Rhyan, Charlie and Calvin.
