Diane Wheeler

Diane Wheeler, 76, of Riverside, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025. A devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother, Diane was born to Willie and Lillie Gilliam in Stanton, Tennessee. She moved to California as a young woman in the 1970s, making it her home for many decades. She was a cherished sister to Lendor, Willie James, William, Carolyn, Benjamin, Bernard, Maxine , and Gwynette and will be profoundly missed by her family.

In her professional life, Diane worked as a Medical Therapy Aide, where she was known for her kindness and compassionate care for others. Beyond her career, Diane found joy in many passions. She was an avid reader and a lover of jazz music and concerts. She enjoyed walking and took great care of her health. Her heart for helping others and her kind nature were a gift to all who knew her.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Lillie, and her siblings, Lendor, Willie James , William, and Gwynette.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Octavia Wheeler-Foote, and her adoring grandson, Quintin Foote. She also leaves behind her sisters Carolyn, Bernard, and Maxine, and her brother Benjamin, along with many other relatives and friends.
