Duane, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away September 1, 2026 at the age of 86. Born September 16, 1939, he lived a full and meaningful life defined by family, faith, hard work, and the simple pleasures he shared with those around him. Duane and Jeanine, wife of 63 years raised a family comprised of three sons, Brian, Eric and Keith.
He graduated from Inglewood High School, where he excelled in “shop” classes. Duane worked as a plumbing estimator & contract manager, building his career first in Inglewood and later in Torrance, California. He possessed an exceptional aptitude for building, repairing, and understanding mechanical things. He started with go-carts, then buying a drag boat hull and converting an automobile gas engine into a maritime engine. There seemed to be little he could not figure out or fix; his skill, ingenuity, and practical wisdom were admired by family, friends, and colleagues alike.
After retiring, Duane made his home in Menifee, California. He attended church, enjoyed playing golf, and loved good food. He also treasured vacations and the opportunities they brought to relax, explore, and make lasting memories with those closest to him.
He is survived by wife, Jeanine, sons Brian & Eric, grandkids Alexandra, Luc and Peyton, brother, Lloyde as well as several nieces and nephews and other family members. We are at peace knowing he is Heaven and has no more pain or health issues. He is reunited with his parents, grandparents, sister Marilyn, and son Keith. He will truly be missed!
