

Joyce Harvey was born on March 31st, 1931, to Jim and Jessie Reavey in Fremont, Michigan. She had two sisters, Joan and Judy. After a few years, and at the height of the Great Depression, the family moved to Montague for work.
Joyce was a member of 4H, Girl Scouts and learned first aid with the Red Cross. While attending Montague High School, she was in drama, band, was on the yearbook staff, and was elected to be on the student council as Treasurer. She graduated in 1949.
A few years later, she packed up and drove to California. While living in Long Beach, she met Carl Harvey thru a mutual friend. They married on February 12th, 1965. They moved to Cypress and had two children, Michele and David. They moved to Anaheim, then Murrieta after Carl's retirement.
She was an active member of Good Shepherd church. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, gardening, antiquing and playing cards with friends.
Joyce passed on June 27th, 2024. She was surrounded by family. She is survived by her sister Joan, her kids Michele and David, son-in-law Eric, and grandkids Ella and Cade. She is preceded in death by her sister Judy and husband Carl.
She will be laid to rest at Forrest Lawn in Cypress, California. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
