Marjorie Anne Jones, affectionately known as “Marge,” was born on February 29, 1940, in San Diego, California. She was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, McKinley Frank Jr., and her parents, William Henry Jones, and Alice Adele (Mogg) Jones and her brother Curtis Jones. She leaves to cherish her sister, Barbara Gerrior, and her brothers, Ronald Jones (Kathy) and David Jones (Edith). She is also lovingly remembered by her nephew, Jason Frank (Terry), who devoted time each week caring for her after Mckinley’s passing. Their meaningful moments together during her final year became treasured memories he will always hold dear.
Marjorie was a passionate ballerina whose love of dance beautifully reflected her vibrant spirit and joyful nature. She embraced life with enthusiasm and delighted in fluorescent and bright colors—hues that perfectly mirrored the light and energy she brought to those around her.
Marjorie was fluent in Spanish and had a special fondness for Mexican food, especially enchiladas. With a margarita to complete the occasion, she was truly in her element. She knew how to savor life’s simple pleasures and had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Joyful and outgoing, Marjorie loved conversation and never missed an opportunity to connect with others. Her lively personality, colorful spirit, and heartfelt enthusiasm made her a delight to be around.
Among Marjorie’s greatest joys was the loving relationship she shared with her lifelong companion, Mckinley Frank Jr. They met while working at the Franchise Tax Board and built a life filled with laughter, thoughtful conversations about current events, walks together, and evenings spent at Marjorie’s ballet performances. After his passing, she deeply missed the companionship and love they had shared. Some people divide their love among many things; Marjorie and Mckinley chose to give their hearts fully to one another. Their devotion was unbreakable, and now they are reunited—together once more, where they always belonged.
Marjorie will be lovingly remembered for her vibrant personality, her devotion to dance, and the happiness she brought to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will continue to shine as brightly as the colors she loved.
