

Natalie Lorrine (Norris) de Chambeau born June 1, 1927 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was the 3rd of 5 children born to Albon Jitley Norris and Georgia Edith (Oliver) Norris. She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School (Kenosha, WI) in 1945. She worked with friends at Fort Sheraton military base after graduating high school. In September 1947, she started attending the University of Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Home Economics in 1951.
August 1952, Natalie accepted a position to teach kindergarten at Gallatin Elementary School in Downey, CA. After her first child was born in 1955, she ended her career to focus on raising her family.
Tom and Natalie Norris met at a party in Los Angeles in March 1953. On September 26, 1953, they were married in Wisconsin. Tom and Natalie had 3 children, Thomas Jr “Tommy”, Claudia and Charles. They have 5 grandchildren: Brenna Lewis, Colin Lewis, Dylan Lewis, Nathan de Chambeau and Evan de Chambeau. They also have 2 great-grandchildren: Ben and Nina Fischer.
After their wedding they moved to an apartment in Manhattan Beach on 16th Street with a lovely ocean view. Natalie belonged to a philanthropic women’s group called the Dolphins. They bought a house on Altura Way in Manhattan Beach. In 1961, they bought a home in Rolling Hills Estates where they lived until 2015 before moving to Cherry Hills Assisted Living in Sun City.
Natalie’s hobbies included golf, reading the newspaper and crossword puzzles.
On November 6, 2022 Natalie suffered a stroke, followed by a heart attack a week later. She was put on Hospice care November 20, 2022 and was moved to her son’s home in Murrieta, CA to live out the remainder of her life. She passed away the morning of December 20, 2022.
