Neil was my boss at the Minuteman print shop..  a good guy.. he will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss. Neil and I have known each other since our early teens. We grew up together in Arleta (Pacoima back then).My fondest memory is of going on my very first fishing trip to June lake and Rush Creek with Neil and his dad.

So many memories with the Ross family.  Our camping trips were always so much fun. T ball games with our boys Sean and Jon. Always such great friends and Neil was always making me laugh, smile, just always made me feel good. He was a true friend for life. He will be greatly missed by all the people whose hearts he touched including my families. He video recorded our wedding. I will never ever forget what a truly nice man he was.  Neil was a fighter to the end, a true inspiration. Neil was a wonderful husband and father. Neil loved his family more than life and that is a fact.  They were his world.  He is now with Jon and am sure welcomed him with open arms and a fishing pole. Rest in Peace my friend. With much love to you

The picture above was Neil with Karen (Stamm) Coe, listening to music on a record player with friends the day they graduated from Sepulveda Jr. High. I'm posting this picture for Karen. I've known Neil since 7th grade. We lost touch and then reconnected years later. He was one of the kindest people I've ever met.  Karen remembers Neil as someone who didn't judge her by her weight, but by her heart. Something she's never forgotten. And they did stay in contact throughout the years. Praying for Neil's family and friends. May God bring you peace and comfort.

Neil had a connection with families and patients because “he lived with his disease”. He lived the real “ups and downs”, the “real  trials and joys” of having a chronic disease. Neil modeled what treatment and hope could looked like. That is why he was so passionate and encouraging. Neil opened his life and Family for all to see and know. 
He helped me go from “Mom of PI kids” to “Mom/Nurse of PI kids” who could encourage and teach how treatment and life could co-exist with success because we both lived it. I will forever be grateful that he saw that in me and helped me get there. 
Rita both my kids, Julia and Jonathan, and especially me will never forget how Neil opened our lives to so much more by living openly with his life and treatment. His support, knowledge, and encouragement made such a difference for thousands of lives over the years. 
Neil would always end by saying, “if I can do, you can do it!” I will never forget how he changed my life.
