

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Nilah Goldsmith, who departed from this world on January 28, 2025. She was 81 and will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nilah was born on March 31, 1943 in Connersville, Indiana to Mary and Herman Taylor. After moving to California in 1972, Nilah worked for the Pomona Police Department before finishing her career as an Executive Secretary at In-N-Out Burger for 25 years.
Nilah was a long-time resident of Canyon Lake, California and after her retirement, she touched the lives of many local children by volunteering for the Read Naturally Program at Tuscany Hills Elementary. With her Christian beliefs, generosity and wonderful sense of humor, Nilah was an amazing role model to her entire family. Her friends and family describe her as one of the most kind and caring people they know.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Don Goldsmith, as well as her two sons, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and her older brother Michael Taylor. Additionally, Nilah will be dearly missed by her blended family members who were a cherished part of her life.
