Born in Louisiana on February 17, 1941. Peggy was the daughter of Albert and Thelma Albair. She was the 10th child of fourteen children.
Peggy met her first husband and married at fifteen. They had three children. They lived in South Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and then moved to California in 1962. That is where she met her best friend and the greatest love of her life.
Peggy loved to fish and spent a lot of her younger days at lakes and on the ocean. She water-skied and scuba dived, and she helped build two boats. In her lifetime she spent time camping, fishing, whitewater rafting, and traveling most of the country and Canada. She was never afraid to tackle any project, big or small. She taught her children never to be afraid and that they could accomplish anything they set their minds to. She was a seamstress, a house painter, refinisher, upholsterer, woodworker, electrician, and bus driver. One of her achievements was getting her GED at age 47, and a promotion to bus driver trainer for Omnitrans.
Peggy was quiet and reserved but could also be quite fiesty if she needed to be. She didn't laugh a lot, but when she did it was the best laugh ever. And sometimes when she really let her hair down, she danced! She was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, many of her siblings, some great friends and her first husband.
She leaves behind her wife and companion of more than fifty years (Cathy), her daughters (Rose and Debbie), a son (Steve) and step daughter (Jeanne). She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
