

Peter Miller Flannery, 75, passed away on May 15th, 2026 in Menifee, California. Peter was born on August 19th, 1950 and served in the Navy, the Army & Navy Reserves. Peter was also a Middle School and High School English Teacher and ended his professional career with the US Post Office in Watertown, WI.
Outside of his professional career Peter collected guitars, was an avid reader of science fiction and also an aspiring author. Peter also had a passion for motorcycle riding and enjoyed long rides with his family and friends in the Wisconsin countryside. Peter also enjoyed assisting veterans during his time with the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter #409 and working for a homeless veterans nonprofit organization.
Peter retired from the US Post Office in early 2011 and eventually moved to Southern California where he spent his last years with his wife, Bonnie Sue Flannery and daughter, Jennifer Flannery and niece Nancy McLean. He is also survived by his brother Mark Flannery and several nieces and nephews. Peter was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ellen Flannery; siblings, Bobbi McLean, Pat Flannery, Sandi Williams and Jeff Flannery.
At this time there are no planned services or memorial and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Arbor Tree Foundation in Peter’s memory.
