Rigoberto Salazar

Rigoberto Salazar was known as an incredibly handsome, kindhearted, humorous, and fun-loving spirit. He had endless stories of the adventure that was his life. He was a true gentleman, devoted father, son, and brother. Yet above all, he was a dream come true for his high school sweetheart, Stephanie Rea. They grew up and spent twenty years building a beautiful life together. Amongst all of the love, adventure, and excitement, God blessed them with two wonderful boys, who meant the absolute world to him. Witnessing him become a father made Stephanie fall in love with him all over again. Family was always at the heart of Rigo’s life. He adored Stephanie and their boys, Ryan and Samuel, fiercely. He was a dedicated provider, working long hours to ensure his family was well cared for. He showed his love through acts of service, prioritizing their comfort and happiness always. He was known to overpack for family outings ,took great effort in preparing for the overall comfort to ensure that his children never went hungry or suffered from a spill. Committing to early morning coffee runs and always thinking ahead, he’d bring home a variety of pastries for his fiancée to choose from. He prided in getting his fiancée's coffee order right every single time. His endless love was reflected in small gestures and details for Rigo was always ten steps ahead. No one could do it better than him.

One of his greatest joys was spending quality time with the people he loved, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Rigo's love and incredible taste in music is at the core of endless memories people share with him, as he had music for every mood, car ride, or activity. He loved taking pictures of things and people he loved, whether for comedic purposes or simply to admire. He collected keepsakes and little treasures, including skateboards and Hot Wheels. He was a passionate fan of UFC fighting, never turning down the opportunity to enjoy a good fight. Rigo's sweet tooth can not be forgotten, for every he went he had a bag of goodies to share. His mother, Maria Sara Valenzuela, is filled with nostalgia thinking back on the times when he was just a child sitting next to her in the passenger side of her car, blissfully devouring rolls and rolls of Fruit by the Foot. A true foodie at heart, Rigo loved discovering and enjoying good food, especially when shared with family.

On the 17th of August surrounded by loved ones, after fighting late stages of melanoma, Rigo gained his angel wings .Through all obstacles he remained strong, brave, and committed to his treatment as he fought fiercely against cancer for his family. Rigo’s memory will live on because his boys will transcend his spirit, his memory, and his legacy. He will be remembered for his devotion, his hardworking nature, his laughter, and the love he gave his little family so generously. His presence will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the love he shared, will remain in our hearts and live on forever.

Rigoberto Salazar, age 37, passed on August 17, 2026. Born July 12, 1989, in California, Rigoberto lived in Lake Elsinore, California.

Visitation will be held at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park and Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585, US, on September 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 21591 Lemon St, Wildomar, CA 92595, US, on September 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

A Committal Service will be held at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park and Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585, US, on September 9, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
