Severino Narag Bassig, age 90, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away quietly in his sleep on Thursday, June 19, 2025 in Menifee, California. Born on December 15, 1934 in Fort McKinley, Taguig City, Philippines. Survived by his loving wife, Lolita Reyes Bassig and sister Violeta B. De Leon. Preceded by his parents Dolores Narag Bassig and Emilio Danao Bassig siblings Jose N. Bassig, Andres N. Bassig, Patricia B. Castillo, Emilia B. Raymundo, Roberto C. Bassig and Angeles B. David.
Ben has lived over 43 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Nevada in the last 20 years. Ben was a devoted husband and recently celebrated a wedding anniversary with his beloved wife of 62 years.
He was a wonderful father figure to Lanny, Gracie, Clarence and Susan.
He also helped raised as his family Beth, Rumero, Lynn, Rodney, Evan and Audrianna. He will be deeply mourned by his many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ben will always be remembered as the Life of the Party. He loved to tell stories and spread laughter wherever he went. He will be greatly missed for the love and warmth of his personality, and generosity of heart. We all love you and wish you a journey of happiness and peace.
A Memorial Mass for Severino will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 27931 Murrieta Rd, Sun City, CA 92585.
