Sharon E Carrillo of Temecula, California was welcomed into heaven at 7:45 PM on March 6 2026. Sharon was born on June 16, 1943, the only child of Irving and Helen Payne. She grew up in South Central Los Angeles where she graduated from George Washington High School in 1960 and met her first husband Don Mayden, with whom she married in 1962 and moved to the suburb of Sunland-Tujunga. While there, she had two children, David and Denise, and was a devoted housewife and mother. After her divorce from Don in 1980, she worked as an executive assistant for the Vice President of Skunk Works a division of Lockheed Aviation. Here she met her second husband and soulmate Pete Carrillo, with whom she married in 1986. Sharon then moved to Palmdale to be closer to work before retiring and moving to Wildomar in 2002.
Sharon was incredibly friendly and confident, always willing to engage anyone in conversation. She also loved to take pictures, requiring those with her to pose so often that many lost any interest they may have had in photography! Sharon also enjoyed travel and visited almost all the United States and Mediterranean Europe. While on these trips, her care for others showed in the fact that she spent almost more time looking for gifts for friends and family than she did sightseeing. She became a Christian while in Wildomar and the last years of her life were devoted to a Wednesday women’s Bible study and worshipping at Redeemer Bible Church where she was baptized in August 2023
Sharon is survived by her son David Mayden, 61, of Kent, Washington and daughter Denise Ross, 56, of Temecula, California. Her first husband Don passed in 2015, and second husband Pete passed in 2016. Her father and mother passed in 2002 and 2006 respectively.
Sharon’s life will be celebrated at a memorial service at Redeemer Bible Church (29775 Santiago Rd, Temecula, CA 92592) on April 7th at 12PM
