Steven Lee Graff

Steven Lee Graff, 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Temecula on October 10, 2025. He was born on October 27, 1943 in New York City. His parents Saul and Beatrice (Glass) Graff predeceased him.

Steven graduated from the University of Missouri Law School in 1968 and began his legal career with the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington, DC. He later moved to Torrance, CA where he started his private practice and remained until 1987 when he moved to Canyon Lake, CA and Temecula, CA specializing in aviation law until his retirement in 2024. During those years he appeared as Judge Pro Tem in both South Bay and Riverside Small Claims Courts.

He was a previous member of the Missouri Bar and active member of the California Bar until 2025. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and Lawyer Pilots Bar Association.

He was an avid reader, enjoyed sailing on his sailboat, Sea Dragon, and traveling in his motorhome with his wife and dogs. He and his wife enjoyed going on cruises to celebrate their wedding anniversary and his birthday creating many cherished memories. He was known for his love of cooking for family and friends. He loved music and enjoyed playing his keyboard for hours. He was passionate about his love for the many rescued dogs and cats who shared his home over the years and especially his dog, Deacon and cat, Goldie. Freddie, our precious little Bichon, crossed the Rainbow Bridge at seventeen years old just six months ago.

He is survived by Janet, his loving wife of forty-five years. Also surviving family members are cousins Herb Graff, Joseph Graff, Richard Graff, Neil Graff, Robert Harris and Francine Arnold.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.

A visitation for Steven will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park and Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585. A committal will occur Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:19 PM, 26770 Murrieta Rd., Menifee, CA 92585.
