Today, we come together to celebrate the life of my beloved husband, Terry Poe. Although our hearts are filled with sadness, they are also filled with gratitude for the many wonderful years we were blessed to share with him.
Terry was a proud veteran who served his country with honor. The values he carried from his military service—strength, loyalty, and integrity—remained with him throughout his life. To his family and friends, Terry was so much more than a veteran. He was a loving husband, a caring father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. He had a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humor. He could make people laugh even during difficult times, and he had a way of making everyone feel welcome.
Terry also had a romantic heart. Through both the joyful moments and the challenges of life, he showed his love in countless ways. He taught us that love is found in everyday acts of kindness, laughter, and simply being there for the people who matter most. He enjoyed country music, good conversations, and spending time with the people he loved. Those simple moments became precious memories that we will treasure forever. Terry leaves behind his loving wife, his daughter, his son, his grandchildren, and many family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
Though we will miss his smile, his laughter, and his presence every day, we find comfort knowing that love never truly ends. The memories he gave us, the lessons he taught us, and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you, Terry, for your love, your laughter, your courage, and the beautiful life we shared. You will always be loved, always be remembered, and never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, my love.
