Harriet C. Bromberg

(nee Steger) Of Germantown. Born on July 7, 1924. Passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at the age of 86 surrounded by her children. Found Eternal peace after a long battle with cancer. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Frank (March 2006), her brothers and sisters and their spouses; Alois, Raymond, Clarence "Sonny", Walter (Beulah) Steger, Angenette (Clarence) Wanty and Dorothy (Bert) Wessel. Also by her nephew Ray Jr. Steger and his wife Rita. Loving mother of Glen (Chiko), Dennis, Carol (Steve) Petersen and Brian (Cindy). Cherished grandma of Jesse (Kristy), Eric, Frankie (Patty), Ben (Monica), Annie, Andrew, Jacob, Christina Petersen and Alex Bromberg. Great-grandma of Bridget, Brooklin, Beckham and Crosby, Garret, Quentin, Jude and Kinley Bromberg.

Funeral Service Saturday, October 23, 2010, 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation Saturday at the Funeral Home from 9 AM until time of Service.

Mom was a homemaker, and worked as a cook at St. Anne's Nursing Home and at St. Michael Hospital. She enjoyed movies, a variety of music, showtunes. Mom sang in younger years along with a great voice. She liked good entertainers and reading a good book, and always a true Brewers fan. Mom loved traveling to Florida, Arizona, California and Las Vegas with Dad.

She held dear her life-long friendship (since first grade) with Arleen (Jan) Teller, dear friends Art and Leona Jahncke along with Paul and Ruth Schramka. Survived by sister-in-law Ann Carman of Florida. Will be missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Our sincere gratitude to the kind, devoted staff of Horizon Hospice Care; Nancy, Maria, Lisa, Barb, Shirley, etc. You're all angels. Your comfort, compassion, unwavering strength held and kept us together through our mothers journey.

Rest now mom, you are reunited with Dad.
