Janis Sharmane Navin-Mahnke

Peacefully passed away May 2, 2014, at Banner-Del Web Memorial Hospital in Sun City, Arizona surrounded by family and friends. She was born on March 15, 1941, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Daughter to the late John and Mathilda Stabbe and sister to the late Tommy Stabbe. Janis attended Sheboygan schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, then went on to graduate from Milwaukee School of Nursing where she devoted herself to helping others as a registered nurse. Janis enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, the simplicities of nature and spending time with family and friends. Many people will remember that Janis always made these activities full of fun. She is survived by her sons Todd (Maria), Scott, Michael, Troy Navin and five grandchildren Lance, Nicholas, Cole, Luke and Kendra Navin and husband Walter Mahnke. In addition she is also survived by her brother Marvin Stabbe. The funeral will take place at Schramka Funeral Home, W164 N9034 Water St., Menomonee Falls on Friday, May 9 with visitation between 4-7PM and a service to follow. A family service for the Burial will be held on Saturday, May 10, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband Thomas Leo Navin.
