

Joseph J. “Joe” Sherman, 47, Milwaukee, WI, passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack on December 4, 2011, at his home.
Born March 6, 1964, in Milwaukee, WI, to Leon and JoAnn (Wallner) Sherman, Joe grew up in Plainfield, WI, and until recently lived in central Wisconsin. Joe married Brenda Prochnow on August 20, 1994 in Waupaca; she survives. He graduated from UWSP with a B.S. in Organizational Psychology. He served in the US Army and Army Reserve from 1982-1990 where he was an Armored Officer (1st Lt.). He was most recently employed as a contractor with Nationwide Distributors, Plainfield, WI.
Joe was an avid Packer fan who enjoyed and studied the game of football. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. He was a fun, happy guy who enjoyed life and spending time with his family and friends.
Joe is survived by his wife, Brenda Sherman, Milwaukee, WI; his mother, JoAnn Sherman, Plainfield, WI; his sister, Cathy (Tom) Schaars, Plainfield, WI; 8 nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as friends. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Leon Sherman, and one nephew, Seth Sawall, New London, WI.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Joe’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10 at Schramka Funeral Home, W164 N9034 Water St, Menomonee Falls, WI. Family and friend are welcome to stop by between 1:00-4:00pm.
