Russell P. Lakoski

Peacefully passed to Eternal Life January 10, 2014, age 90. Preceded in death by his wife Yolanda (nee Kosidowski). Dear father of Nancy (Gary) Rau, Karen (Michael) Caporaso, Kevin (Barbara) Lakoski, Greg (Elaine) Lakoski and Diane (Scott) Bertrand. Beloved grandfather of Brad, Kyle, Lindsay, Lisa, Dana, Steven, Paul, Marissa, Jaclyn and Jennifer. Loving great-grandfather of Ella, Jenna, Dylan, Sofia and Greyson.

Russ was a graduate of UW Madison with a degree in chemical engineering. He went on to a successful career in the leather tanning industry as Executive Vice-President of Manufacturing. He was a World War II Navy Veteran with service on the U.S.S. Atlanta and was deployed to the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. He was an avid outdoorsman with a strong passion for duck hunting. Russ loved spending time at Long Lake, where he lived at various times throughout his life.

Visitation at Schramka Funeral Home W164N9034 Water Street, Menomonee Falls Thursday, January 16, 4-7PM. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 17 at 10AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church N89W16297 Cleveland Avenue, Menomonee Falls followed by interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association.
