Adonis Gregory Hackett was born on October 8, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Delphanie Caldwell and Toussaint Turner. Adonis passed away on October 4, 2018 in Merced, California surrounded by family at the age of 72.
Adonis was a long time resident of Merced, California. Adonis served his country proudly in the United States Army. He worked as a professional bus driver for over 26 years and was President of the local 265 Labor Doms. He loved working with his CB’s and he was known by his handle the “Philly Dog”.
Adonis is survived by his loving wife Lynett Sterling; his children Addonia, Juanita, Gregory, step daughter Shantel; brother Alphonso Hackett.
Adonis also leaves behind to cherish his memory 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
Adonis was preceded in death by his grandparents; his son Adonis Jr. Adonis was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.
