Bob was a life-long resident of Merced and graduated from local schools. In 1960 he joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1962. He worked as a mechanic for Merced County for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Darla S. Mondo of Merced; son, Anthony Mondo and wife Tera of Merced; daughters, LaDona Sullivan of Merced and Angelina Chunn and husband Edward of Springfield, Oregon; brother, Louie Mondo of Merced; sister, Margaret Schatteles of Minnesota; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street Merced, California.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the March of Dimes, 301 Banner Court Ste. 2 Modesto, California 95357.
