Bonnie Gale Winter

Bonnie Gale Winter, age 66, of Merced, California passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. Bonnie was born in Okinawa, Japan and was a retired Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with degree in this field from Fresno State University. She spent the majority of her life in Merced, California and the San Franciso Bay Area.

Bonnie had long-term employment with Kaiser, Medtronic, and also was a private practitioner specializing in helping patients with dietary needs with a particular focus on diabetes. She was an active dog lover and particularly loved cocker spaniels. At her death, she had two wonderful dogs including her cocker spaniel Goldie and her poodle Pierre. Bonnie was an active swimmer and was always known to be caring towards people of all walks of life. She was a strong believer in the Christian faith and always believed in a better tomorrow.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her mother, Jeri Winter and her father Chuck Winter.

She is survived by her brother Jett Winter and Jett’s wife Karen; by her sister Melanie Winter; and her nephews Jarrett Winter and Ben Winter.
