Bryan Elam (Buck) of Merced passed away on Jan. 25, 2014 after a quick and brief struggle with cancer. Bryan is survived by his brother David (Patti), nieces Sarah and Katie of Merced; half brother Chris Campos (Joni), niece Rebeca of Cameron Park; and stepfather Dennis Harris of Redwood City. Buck was a truck driver for many years and logged over 2 million miles on the road. He was very proud that he had the honor of delivering the Olympic Statue to Atlanta. He was the watchdog of the neighborhood, especially looking out for all the senior citizens. He was known as Uncle Buck to all the kids, as he was really a kid at heart. He loved playing pranks and making people laugh. His passion for barbequing was legendary, and was known to cook up a batch of ribs to share with everyone around. "Buck" stories will live on forever with love and laughter. A memorial will be held at a later date.
Arrangements under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merced, CA.
