Carolyn Hanson was born on March 9th, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Helen and Leon Herring. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years, and resided in Merced County for over 30 years.
She is survived by her two daughters Elizabeth Brown and Julie Ann Andres, and three siblings Kenneth, Mary Louise, and John.
Carolyn was kind hearted, playful, and creative. She loved to read, sew, garden, hike in the mountains, play tennis, and run along Bear Creek, where she would often rescue stray animals. She will be dearly missed.
Family and friends are invited to join a Rosary, Friday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service Saturday, July 23 at 9:00 a.m. both at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Merced, California.
