Catherine Irene Felix Wright, born on October 26, 1947, entered into eternal rest on May 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and soon to be great-grandmother, by Shayla, her eldest grandchild expecting a daughter soon. She was a loving sister, caring aunt and faithful servant of Christ whose life was a life marked by love, compassion, humility and unwavering faith.
She was the proud mother of three children and cherished every moment spent with them and her beloved grandchildren. Her love for her family was boundless, and she instilled in each of them the importance of building a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a pillar of strength and a prayer warrior, always ready with a listening ear, a word of encouragement, and a heart full of love.
Professionally, she served as an instructional aide in special education, a role she carried out with deep care and dedication. She took pride in her work, particularly in the strong, supportive relationships she built with students and their families. Her kind heart and tireless efforts made a lasting difference in the lives of many.
She committed her life to serving the Lord. She served faithfully in the women’s ministry and was a devoted member of Templo La Hermosa Church. Her life was a beautiful example of faith in action, humble, powerful, and inspiring.
She is survived by her sisters Rachel Cervantes, Margie Bustos, and Frances Miranda (Frank); her brothers John Felix (Mary), Rudy Felix (Christina), Ernie Felix (Dorothy), and Raymond Felix (Barbara).
She leaves behind her loving children Curtis Wright (Micaela) and Catrina Quinn (Fred); and her cherished grandchildren Shayla, Immanuel, Miyah Malachi, Jaiah and Taylor.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, her faith, and the love she gave so freely.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Templo La Hermosa located at 3610 CA-140, Merced, California 95340.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery located at 260 West Childs Avenue, Merced, California 95341.
