I first Met Charlie in the 8th grade at Central Jr. High School.  We had classes together and played on the Heavyweight Football team.  Charlie was a fast runner and played end(wide receiver).  He ran track and held the state record for the 50 yard dash.  His nickname among friends was bullet-boy.  We had classes together at TUHS and played on the freshman baseball team and we won the conference.  Charlie was a power hitting outfielder.  He led the Tulare Little League in homeruns.  Charlie's attitude toward life was if you can laugh at it, you can live with it. He was a spiritual leader who was a fierce competitor and a loyal team mate, classmate and companion.  He never showed disappointment and was always upbeat.  I have lost 17 good friends the last 2 years, but Charlie I will carry with me in my heart forever. I remember "Charlie" from Central (7-8 grades) and Tulare Union High School. We played on the Lions Little League team  and were on the wrestling team at TUHS. Unfortunately, I saw Charlie only once since we graduated in 1959. He was a  good friend and his good humor always made him  fun to be around.  Bless his soul and may he rest in peace.
