Charles was an owner and operator of a trucking business. He was a member of Calvary Temple in Merced, California.
Charles is survived by his children Patricia McClain (Southside, TN), Allen Scoggins (Phoenix, AZ), Mary Frances Davis (Merced, CA) and Christopher Scoggins (Colorado Springs, CO); eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Gloriann Scoggins of 46 years, son Charles Scoggins, parents Jesse and Vida Scoggins and sister Erma Jean May.
A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 953416304. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 953416304. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Winton Cemetery District, 7651 Almond Ave, Winton, CA 95388.
