Daniel Franklin Correia

July 24, 1950-January 8, 2012

Daniel was born July 24, 1950 and passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the age 61, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Danny enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, the 49ers, and dancing. Most of all he enjoyed being a proud husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Correia; mother, Luisa Lopez; stepfather, Marion Lopez; brother, Joe Correia; and brother-in-law, Benny Moore.

He was survived by his wife, Jennifer Correia; sons, Darrell (Christine) Correia and John (Ursula) Orlando; daughters, Stacy (Hector) Salinas and Donna Harding; grandchildren-Nathan, Andrew, Jacqlyn, Lilia, Caleb, Michael, and Shana; great grandson, Keagan; sisters-Elsie Moore, Mary Hatfield, Dolores (Jim) King, Jasmine (David) Ross, and Vanjie (Lee) Halforn; brother, Larry (Luanna) Correia ; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Selma (Bob) Larkin.

The family would like to especially thank Dr. Raymond Tan at the Mercy Cancer Center; Robert Butler, De LaPena, Nandapatti, Nancy, Claire, Kelly, Vivian, and Charlene. Deepest heartfelt appreciation to Patricia Vargas and Carlos Eltagunde from Bristol Hospice.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 3:00P.M.-7:00P.M. and services will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 1:00P.M. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
