
Lead Supervisor/Machine Operator
Daniel James Trindade, a native of Merced County, died Saturday, April 25th at a local hospital following a ten month battle with esophageal cancer. He was 25.
Daniel was born Oct. 3, 1989 in Merced and grew up on the family ranch on Trindade Road. He attended Franklin Elementary School, Rivera Middle School and graduated from Buhach Colony High School in Atwater. Daniel was very active in his 4-H work, raising and showing hogs and registered Suffolk sheep. He was first employed by Tary Boscolo’s Pizzeria in Atwater, followed by Foster Farms in Livingston where he worked for the three years leading up to his illness. In his free time, Daniel enjoyed computers and playing video games.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Bernadette of Atwater; his parents, Bruce Trindade of Merced, and Jamie and Brian Lockwood of Lebanon, OR; a sister, Julie Trindade of Corvallis, OR; a step-brother, Douglas Lockwood of Merced; a step-sister, Raelyn Matsen of Merced; and his grandmother, Josephine Trindade of Merced.
A celebration of life will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the funeral home’s reception hall.
