Darrell Lee Hammit

Darrell Lee Hammit was a resident of Atwater, California. He was a native of Merced, California. Darrell was retired from the Service Parks and Maintenance for the city of Atwater, California. He was employed there for 20 years. He was also a member of the Black Sheep Harley Davidsons for Christ, Fresno Chapter. Darrell loved to be a motorcyclist and was very proud of being a biker. He was also a 6th Degree Black Belt and was a studied Shotokan Karate, Kemsrima Doh and Kenpo. He taught martial arts for many years.

Darrell is survived by his fiancée Jeanne Johnson, his daughters Sara Lara, and Savanna Marquez. His dogs Shadow, Jake, Missy and Road Dog Buddy Ray. His brother Dave Hammit, his sister Lisa Popejoy and his best friend Denny Ray Popejoy.

He is preceded in death by his wife Aurora Marquez Hammit, His sons Michael and Wade Hammit.

There will be a Memorial Service on August 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Church, located at 2150 Cherry Ave, Merced California. The Black Sheep will lead the ride after the service and repast.
