David Gene Bruce

September 26, 1946 – November 1, 2010

David G. Bruce passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the age of 64, with his loving family at his side at home.

David was born September 26, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA to Hubert and Miriam Bruce. David was a long time resident in Merced and had just retired after working for Ingomar in Los Banos for 27 years. He was an avid trap shooter, enjoyed cutting hair as a barber, and was just taking up tooling leather for a hobby. He also liked to fish and do odd end jobs with his friends.

He was a generous person who was always doing things for others which made him loved by many. Anyone who knew him rembers how much he liked to tell and share jokes.

He was preceded in death by his father Hubert Bruce.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda S. Bruce, his mother Miriam Bruce, his daughter Tiffany Bruce, and his son Darren Bruce. He also leaves behind his brother Lynn Bruce, sister-in-law Linda A. Bruce, his niece Deidre Johnson, and nephew Scott Bruce.

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 95341.
