Douglas Schular was born on July 20, 1941 in San Francisco, California and passed away on October 3, 2018 in Merced, California. Douglas was a retired warehouse worker for M.C. M.C.. He was a member of Merced Golf and Country Club and The Corvette Club. He also coached and played slow pitch softball for the city of Merced. He loved horses, his pet dogs Rose and Tika, enjoyed being on the lake with his family and traveling.
Douglas is preceded in death by his parents Gretta Outto Schuler and Bob Schuler; his biological father Lyle Arbuthnot; his brothers Michael Arbuthnot Ostallion and Robert Schuler.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne, daughter Tonia Red Eagle and son Michael Allenger; three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Merced Country Club, Merced, California.
