Eliza G Gonzalez, age 80, of Merced, California passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Eliza was born January 5, 1942. Eliza was born in Pharr, Texas to Juan and Paula Garcia. She was a wife, mother, Grandmother, daughter, and sister. Eliza passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Eliza will forever be remembered by her husband Porfirio Gonzalez and her children, Maria G Virelas, Dolores Gonzalez, Carmen Gonzalez, Porfirio Jr Gonzalez, Leticia Zuniga, Elizabeth Villegas, and Jose Luis Gonzalez. Eliza has 30 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her daughter Nora Sanchez two months ago.
A funeral service for Eliza will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, Merced, California. Following the funeral service will be an interment at 12:30 PM at Merced Cemetery District, Merced, California.
