Ernest Dominguez

For 25 years, Ernest worked as a nurse, a vocation that reflected his commitment to care, dignity, and compassion. Through long days and demanding moments, he offered comfort in practical ways—showing up, listening, and doing what was needed with professionalism and heart.

Away from work, Ernest found enjoyment in movies and music, simple pleasures that brought ease and familiarity to everyday life. He also loved cats, and that affection spoke to the gentle, attentive spirit many came to know in him.

Ernest is survived by siblings Patricia, George, David, Gilbert and Alexander Dominguez, and Nephew Anthony Dominguez.

He was preceded in death by parents Ernest V. Dominguez and Concepcion Dominguez; brother Arthur; and grandparents Jesus and Maria Dominguez and Camillo Preciado.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 953416304, on September 26, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
