Faye Merritt-Williams was born on July 9, 1955 to John Merritt and Claire Thom in Chicago, Illinois. Faye was an English teacher for 30 years at Merced High School and Golden Valley High School. She was also a member of New Faith Bible Church and an advisor for the Black Student Union.
Faye is survived by her loving husband Kenneth L. Williams; her daughter Sheilah M. Brooks; stepson Kenneth Williams, Jr.; her brothers Michael, Phillip and Lonnie Merritt; her sister Pamela Merritt Bennett, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Chicago, D.C. and Cleveland areas.
There will be a visitation for Faye on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community Bible Church, located at 5890 N Winton Way, Atwater, California. Interment will follow at Merced District Cemetery, Merced, California.
