Gayle Louise Rowe

6/19/1938-7/6/2012

Gayle passed away peacefully from complications of COPD and MS on July 6, 2012. She was born in Merced and lived in Planada, graduating from Le Grand High School in 1956.

She traveled the world with her husband and 2 sons living in Saudi Arabia, New Guinea, Indonesia, and many states in the U.S. Everywhere she lived she knew everything about that country or state.

Gayle was so talented and educated. She loved her crafts and her books (especially The Enquirer). Gayle loved her friends and family. If she could help all you had to do was ask.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Dorthy and Glenn Davis; brothers, Verne, Don, and Roy Davis; and sisters, Jackie Ralls and Dorothy Penner.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Victor; sons, Jeffrey and Ron (Lori); grandsons, Kyle, Tyler, and Bryce; granddaughter, Mackenzie all of Turlock; sisters, Sheri Turner (Jim) and Pat Dotey; brothers, Joe (Shirley) and Lyle (Betty) Davis; sister-in-laws, Dawn and Velma Davis; brother-in-law, Stuart Rowe; best friend, Bernice Abasta; and many nieces and nephews.

Flowers can be sent to Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home or donations can be sent to Glenn Davis Memorial Scholarship Fund, Merced Jr. College, 3600 M St., Merced, CA 95348-2898.

A private burial will be held at Plainsburg Cemetery.
