I remember back when we were growing up in Hollister during the 70’s Mom, Dad, Joe and I would travel to Yuba City to visit and my father(Genaro’s brother)being the strict one would always insist on early bedtimes for us kids and you’d be the buffer encouraging staying up late watching TV.  You were such a great guy always mellowing my Dads strict standards and just wanting everyone including us kids to have a fun time.  Thanks Uncle!  The day my father passed you seemed so disappointed you didn’t get to say goodbye.  I’m sorry for that Uncle, I was in such a dark place I wasn’t thinking rationally but now you are all together again.   Rest in heavenly peace Uncle.  We’ll see ya.

My dearest father-in-law Gene, 
I’m going to miss your smiles and your nightly voice talking to Hector. 
We’re going to miss you so much but know you are finally at peace. May God keep you in his arms now until we meet again.  We will keep watching Baseball and will think of you and honor you always. You were the best father, man, friend.  Dedicated to who ever walked in your life. I love you pops. Forever in my heart, Debbie, the one with the hazel eyes.  You always said, your eyes are beauty. Love you dad

Hey Pops, we will miss you sorely, and will miss not having a Dad here with us. You were, and still are a happy person. I remember when I was living with you, you were always in a happy mood - a happy go lucky guy! 

Thanks for raising us to be good people and supporting us the way you did. You got us involved in sports and on to a good path in life. What we are now reflects on you Pop - and that's good! You were always working hard to give us the things we needed. Doing this for four boys was a chore. We will never forget what you did for us, and the sacrifices you made for us. Thank you Pop!

I love you dad and miss you. You were the best father and was always there for your family. You were a hard worker and raised your family. I want to say thank you for always supporting me and my brothers for everything we did including playing sports.I love you dad and wish you were still with us now. I know your resting in peace now though. I remember you watching your beloved Dodgers on TV and boxing too.
