Gloria was retired from the Merced County Assessor's Office where she was a Supervisor of Assessment Services. She was employed there for 40 years. She attended church at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merced.
Gloria is preceded in death by her sons, Peter and Vincent (Bo) Vargas and her parents Vincent Jr. and Bernardina Garcia.
She is survived by her husband Rosendo Ceja Ceja of Merced; her brothers, Vincent, Robert, David and Gregory all of Merced; her sisters, Belinda Gonzalez of Merced, Elizabeth Godinez of Phoenix, Az. and Genevieve Rose of Merced. Also surviving Gloria are 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
