Gracie Gilbert

November 16, 1930 – May 7, 2011

Gracie LeeElla Gilbert was born to James and Bessie Walker in Bledsoe, Tennessee on November 16, 1930 and passed away in Merced, California on May 7, 2011 at the age of 80 years.

Gracie was a native of Bledsoe, Tennessee and resided there for 19 years. Gracie moved to California and was a resident of Chowchilla for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Beecher (Tennessee) Gilbert; son, Jeff Gilbert aka A.J. Walker, son, Leonard Gilbert; sister, Edna Alberta Warner; brother, Oliver Casto Walker and sister, Sally Walker.

Gracie is survived by her companion, Robert (Bobby) Brammer; and children, Ellen Gracie Hollender, Wayne Gilbert, Brenda Kay Roberts and Lynn Biscaglio. She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chowchilla Family Worship Center on the corner of 15th and Truman in Chowchilla. Burial will follow at Chowchilla District Cemetery.
