Carline retired from her position as an admitting clerk at Mercy Hospital in Merced, California, and later was a faithful volunteer at the hospital gift shop. She also volunteered at the public library in Morgan Hill, California.
Carline is survived by her children, Linda & Don Parsons (Lee’s Summit, Missouri), Karen & Bill Shamblin, Patricia Prater, and William & Pam Smith (all of Colorado Springs, Colorado), as well as nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Carline was preceded in death by Bill Smith, her husband of fifty-eight years and the love of her life, her parents Carl and Bessie Smith, and her brother Don Smith of Kansas City, Missouri.
A graveside burial will take place on October 13th at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 1480 B Street, Merced, California 95340.
