Helen Oletha Ford

Helen Oletha Ford, age 73, passed away on Wednesday December 3, 2025. Born on June 15, 1952, in Firebaugh, California to Bernadine and Alvin Bristow. Helen resided in Merced, California and proudly worked as the owner operations of San Joaquin Valley Transportation for 35 years.

Helen leaves behind her two grandchildren, Mariah Higareda and Marquez Califro, her seven siblings Reba, Linda, Ronald, Joann, Nola, Allen and Patricia and her 7 precious great grandchildren who brought her endless joy and laughter, Martin Jr., Monroe, Kash, Jude, Harlow, Abigail and Giovanni.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband Grant Ford and her son Jeffrey Califro.

Family was the center of Helens world. Her happiest moments were the ones spent surrounded by her grandchildren sharing stories, laughter, and love. Helen had a light within her that drew people in- She never hesitated to strike up a conversation; spoke warmly to everyone she encountered and was cherished for her unforgettable laugh. Her presence filled every room; her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.

Helen's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family whose lives are forever shaped by her love, strength, and unwavering spirit.
