Homer H. Best was born in Rush Springs, OK on December 17, 1920 and passed away in Merced, CA on June 20, 2012 at the age of 91.
Homer served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years, a long time member of the Merced Bridge Club, and he worked as a Tax Accountant, Realtor, and a General Contractor.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose Mary Best; children, Carol Romano, Vickie Andrews, and David Best; 7 grandkids; and 3 great-great grandkids with a 4th on the way.
A graveside service will be held on Merced Cemetery District, 1300 B St., Merced, CA on June 25, 2012 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Merced County Food Bank, PO Box 1822, Winton, CA 95388 or 2000 W Olive Ave, Merced, CA 95348.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home.
