Homer T. Zepeda

September 6, 1943 – April 18, 2011

Homero T. Zepeda was born September 6, 1943 in Harlington, Texas and passed away April 18, 2011 in Merced, California at the age of 67 years.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Hope Zepeda, their children Otilio Homer Zepeda, Jackie Zepeda Sanchez, Hope Zepeda Ruiz and stepchildren Joe, Joann, John, Gloria, Jeannie and Irene. His elder children Rebecca Zepeda Mendez, Aurora Zepeda Ybarra, Homer Zepeda Jr, Samuel Zepeda and Rigoberto Zepeda. He is also survived by his mother Joaquina Trevino Zepeda, sisters Minerva Garcia, Concepcion Sierra, MA. Aurora Hernandez and Sulema Martinez. Homero will be greatly missed by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and adoring nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Remigio Zepeda, brothers Samuel and Gonzalo Zepeda, daughters Rita Zepeda Nieto and Joyce Rodriguez Sanchez, grandchildren Shawn Joseph Zepeda, Valerie April Zepeda, Gabriel and Raphael Ybarra and Erica Zepeda Nieto.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Yosemite Church in Merced. Burial will follow at Merced District Cemetery.
