Hope Andrade Trujillo was born on January 28, 1934 in Los Banos, CA to parents, the late Antonio Andretti and the late Antonia Gill. She is preceded in death by her children Jeanne Martinez, Joseph Jr, John, William and Dalinda Trujillo.
Hope is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth, Melinda, Carol and Nancy, 40+ grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 7 siblings. Extended family – Kathy and Ralph Trujillo, Cindy Ramirez, Connie Naranjo and Catalina Sanchez.
Hope was a production worker for 36 years in the same and only job she first applied for. Hope retired in 1999.
Hope loved her big band music, Frank Sinatra era but mainly her Eydie Gorme/Los Ponchos. You would hear that music pouring out of her home Saturday mornings. She loved her grandma Petra as a parent and took care of her until she entered convalescent. Even then every Sunday Hope was at the convalescent hospital for her visits with Grandma – every Sunday until she passed.
Her love for her children shined through but it was mostly for her grandchildren. Assuring her children and grandchildren had new school clothes, shoes, food on the table… and hoping to buy them a little something extra if her budget allowed. She looked forward to having her granddaughters on Friday’s and taking them shopping with her. Grandchildren spending weekends at Grandma’s. She loved to purchase gifts for them and have them over every holiday, their birthdays, and her birthday. Washing baseball clothes to get her grandchildren to their games on time. So happy to attend their weddings and graduations throughout the years! Hope was selfless in every way.
Your daughters and grandchildren will miss your phone calls checking on them, but mostly, we will miss you never getting our names right. You tried but you would start off with everyone else’s name but our own. We Miss you Mom – we Miss you Grandma – we MISS YOU HOPE!
